BREWER: Barett
STYLE: Pilsner
ABV: 5%
IBU: 21
PERCEIVED BITTERNESS: Pronounced
EBC: n/a
RATING: 3/ 5
Somehow this Pilsner comes off smooth but aggressively hits you with a tangy bitterness at the same time. I get only a little of the bread-like pale malt flavor, which could be because of the location of brewing not being Germany. There is just not as much as one would expect from a German Pils. The bitterness leaves a lingering effect that at first made me not like it so much. However, even though subtle the bread-like flavor does persists and mellows out the bitterness the more you drink it. Still the bitterness is pronounced with this beer that should be there for a German Pils, but on the lower end of the spectrum. While at the same time the ABV is on the higher end.
