The beer comes at you with a sweet aroma from the malty and caramel flavors that come off the brew. Yet when you taste there is a roast quality to it, adding more to the flavor. It does remind me somewhat of a Negro Modelo which is not a bad thing. It make the beer have a uniqueness to it while still feeling familiar. being malt balanced and not over powering, with only moderate bitterness it a a good beer to enjoy while eating the usual bar fair. You could also have a couple of pints before you feel the need to move on.
