The IBU may be on the lower end of the scale, but low is not how it is perceived. There is a nice amount of bitterness to this black lager. Yet this robust brew has a sweet chocolate aftertaste to soothe the upfront bite. It is not so much to me a good beer with food but rather something you enjoy after meals. It does not have the same refreshing feel as the other C-Craft beers, but with a more active flavor profile than the others, It is enjoyable on it own.
