The intense spice aroma comes at you hard when you first take in the smell of this beer. It also is s smooth, delectable treat once you taste it. I can also fee as if there is some amount of peppermint giving out that tangy sweetness to the beer. It gives me cause to wonder if perhaps it is the honey and orange peel is mimicking the flavor. As also I am not getting much from the honey again in this beer. I get a sense of a mouth feel that is like a liquid syrup that coats the inside of your mouth when you swallow, but no honey flavor per say. There is a sweetness to it, that comes with the complexity of this beer with a mild amount of bitterness to round out the flavor.
