This could be a good entry point for a craft beer newbie as it hasn't got much in bite, but is a decent showcase for the style. There is a nice aroma on the nose and just enough bitterness. May be simple for someone deep in the hop madness, but then again not everything needs to be liquid hops. What it does have is a boldness in the malt aromas and flavors, which is not your norm for a craft IPA, but gives the beer some character.
